2011 Hot Chocolate |
The Center will be selling hot chocolate at the annual Christmas parade in downtown Houma. The parade is schedlued for December 9, 2011. Be on the look out for the Center's banner and come enjoy a creamy cup of hot chocolate.
South Louisiana Starving Artist Festival |
The Holiday Inn of Houma, Cajun Lodging, LLC & the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center are joining together to present the South Louisiana Starving Artist Festival. Unfortunately, the festival was canceled this year. For more information, go to festival's website: www.starvingartistfestival.com.
2012 Lady Bug Ball |
In 2011, the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center was given the opportunity to host the annual "Lady Bug Ball". The portion of the proceeds the Center receives is used to continue the educational programs it offers, a portion is put into the capital fund campaign, and a portion to used to help offset the daily operations of the Center. This year the Lady Bug Ball will be Saturday April 21 at Southdown Plantation. If you would like to become a sponsor, fill out the sponsorship form and mail it back with your sponsorship to address on the form.
